Dr. Ellen Hammerle, licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT #32398), holds a doctorate in clinical psychology and is a psychotherapist with the Community Healing Centers, an integrative psychotherapy non-profit organization.
The current emphasis in Ellen’s work is on the integration of Western Psychology and spiritual wisdom teachings; of body, mind and spirit. She possesses a broad range of professional experience which enriches her psychotherapeutic skills.  Using a psychodynamic framework informed by object relations, self psychology and family systems theory, Dr. Hammerle specializes in working with individuals and couples to cultivate communication, healing and transformation.  She has extensive experience working with stress management, group dynamics, communication skill development within relationships, mediation, meditation, parent-infant work and chronic illness.Dr. Hammerle has written many articles on related subjects and is frequently called upon to give lectures and lead workshops.  She has conducted trainings and education programs in Stress Management, Meditation, and Western Psychology, Sufism, Spirituality, and Consciousness. She has taught Spirituality and Psychology at Santa Rosa JC. Dr.  Hammerle is a published author who has completed research linking psychology and spirituality. Her most recent publication is a book entitled "Sacred Journey: Unfolding Self Essence".
